A very prominent Union wanted to increase membership and revenue but didn’t know exactly how to do it. They had previously attempted to implement a voluntary benefits program in the past but fell prey to unethical practices on behalf of the benefits representatives. They wanted to add value for their members as well as increase membership but didn’t have the staff to implement a successful strategy.
Employee Retention Benefits (ERB) first job was to assure the Union of their professional expertise and experience. ERB uses a customized proprietary system which ensures the Union that all enrollment protocols were already in place with the ERB in-house agents. ERB added the Union membership enrollment as part of the customized package in order to increase membership. ERB then implemented a voluntary Benefits package that created two additional revenue streams for the union. ERB facilitated all existing employees and created an on-going new hire enrollment process.
The Union was able to raise over $80,000 and they increased their membership by 10% in a short time. Recurring revenues were $40,000 per year and more importantly, trust was regained, and a profitable relationship was formed. The Union was able to setup a scholarship fund and other programs for their members based upon the new and perpetual revenue streams.
